I don't know who this belongs to but I found it in the pocket of a woman that fell or something at Hudson River Park. I think someone dumped her there. The ambulance is on its way but she might need someone to go to the hospital with too, she looks pretty beat up.

Guess who is going to be playing Dori in the live action re-adaptation of Finding Nemo set to release in 2031?
This movie rocked my socks when I was a kid no joke. And now I get to be a part of the legacy!

New developments in tampons. Really?
Considering all the technical advances of recent years you'd think they'd be able to come up with something even better for oh fifty percent of the population at least during part of their lives.
Reading about that and finding out they'll be able to tell when I go into menopause all in the same paper. Kind of not making my day people.

Umm. Blaine's gone. He moved to New Jersey with a twenty year old girl who was an intern on the show.
I am 39 years old and the only man I ever really loved treated me like shit for years and years and I just let him because I still LOVED him and hoped he'd change his mind. My closest thing to a relationship right now is with a 23 year old Barrista who is mostly just a friend. I am old. And stupid. And I want kids and a husband and I don't know if any of that is going to happen anymore.
What did I do wrong?

Honestly, whoever makes tanning beds ought to be taken out back and shot. What a dreadful thing to have happen to someone simply looking for a bit of a glow.
It's just as bad as those children getting burned on plastic playground slides.

I remember growing up in a small town in Michigan and marching in the Memorial Day Parade with the rest of the Girl Scouts.
I mean yeah there's still the city parade and stuff, but the small town feel, I miss that. There was a feeling of wholeness to it, of community. Why don't we do things like that anymore?

The scene opens with the shot of Lindsay, in a kitchen, wearing a kitschy apron with cherries on it and holding a icing spreader. There is a finished cake beside her, sitting on a plate and ready to be frosted. She looks up at the camera and grins, waving the spreader neatly so as not to spill frosting anywhere.
And here I am, pouring my heart and soul into a fine confection for one of my very best friends Dr. Naomi Richardson! Naomi is celebrating her birthday today, and what sort of birthday would it be without a friend cramming oodles of candles onto a too small cake in an effort to set the house on fire?!
Now I have some very exciting plans for my friend this weekend, BUT for the rest of it I'm counting on the lot of you. If you know Naomi, wish her a Happy Birthday, give her a kiss on the cheek, wolf whistle out of your car, I don't know but do something, because this girl? She's smoking, candles or not!
She begins to ice the cake, very precisely and quickly, as if she has done it many times before, the white icing spreading neatly first on one layer, then the other, then around the sides and the top as she continues talking.
Not to mention the huge birthday celebration I've planned for her tonight at The Romper Room for all of her friends and nearest and dearest. It's a surprise well it was, sorry Naomi, I do hope you don't have plans! So all of you show up and wish her a good one. And if you don't I WILL find you. And for those of you who don't know her and want to crash well, there's a main dance floor but don't plan on getting into the VIP room unless you're on my list.
She's finished frosting the cake and licks the frosting off the spreader.
But, if you want to get on my good side, I might be able to make an exception or two.
The camera leaves her and goes down to the finished cake, then fades out.

The video opens with Lindsay at a pottery wheel, her hands covered with clay, shaping pots with minute precision and laughing up at whoever is holding the camera.
"Can you tell I've never done this before? At any moment it's going to totally collapse under my hands and then we'll have the world's largest mud pancake. It will be fabulous."
She looks back down at what she's doing and smiles, surprisingly at ease for her.
"Yeah, I'm kidding, really. No, my poor driver, he's always having to take me all sorts of places because, you know, I can't drive. And it's always so strange, having to like call down to his room like at ten at night because I suddenly realized I'm out of tampons or something, and Kiki's not around to help out."
She laughs again and you hear the driver mumble something about "let's not go there, just now, yeah?" She continues to work on the pottery and talk.
"I just had to come down here today. I've been working on my new album after we're done shooting for the day, and I'm really nervous about it. It's going to be my first solo album. And I have to say I've never done some of this before, but it's kind of exciting too. It's going to be very family oriented. I mean, our albums always were, and they're meant for kids, but I want something the adults can enjoy too. I don't know if we'll ever do as well as we did with Little Patriot, but it's nice trying, isn't it? I mean, I think it's a boon that real solid family entertainment is making a comeback. Much like what I was reading about Christian movies taking up such a large portion of the market share now. I think people really turn back to what matters to them at times like this. We all need to look out for each other, you know, no matter what faith we are. We're all brothers. And that's what I try for in my music."
She pauses and frowns down at the bowl as she uses a scraper to shape the edge against the spinning wheel.
"You know, kind of like the police officers this weekend. I don't think anyone goes into police work thinking you want to hurt people. Their job is to protect us. And we need to do the best we can, all of us, to cooperate with them and make it easier on them. I know as people continue to get used to the regulations regarding the districts it will be easier. I think right now is just a tough time. And people need to just suck it up and get along. I mean, I had to move out of my own home and into someplace completely different, and you don't see me, or most of New York complaining about it. The people in the Housing office, including one of my best friends, work very hard to make this transition as seemless as possible, but nothing is perfect. Which is why we all just need to try-"
She slows the wheel, revealing a perfectly formed pot.
"To work together to make things take shape. Nothing worth it is easy, is it? It takes a heck of a lot of practice."
The camera focuses down on the finished pot and then shuts off.

Thanks to some contacts in the city's Urban Planning division I'm in talks for a lease on that library I was talking about last week, and I've already spoken with a few contractors about renovating the space to make a music and cultural center for the neighborhood.
I've already spoken to a few of you about it, but I'm in the process of setting it up as a Not for Profit as well, and I'll be in contact when I start the fund raising in earnest.
In other news, I've a home study today for another endeavour I have in the works, so wish me luck for that.

So I've been thinking, really, it's a shame that they closed that public library. Just another in a string of necessary public institutions that we've lost funding for. Now I know that it's gone to other, important things, but I think the dearth of music education in the public schools, not to mention the obvious closing of libraries is something of note, don't you?
Since Blaine and I started up, we've done a significant amount of work with charities that promote music education as well as reading, and I would love to see that old library perhaps turned into something meaningful instead of another wasted shell.
So I'm going to see what can be done about making it a music education center and library. Assuming I can find enough interested parties.

Well I not only had a fabulous time in Florida, but I came back with some marvelous sun and rested and ready to wrap up the rest of the season. We've already finished filming our special episodes and only have three left to complete! It hardly seems possible. Speaking of which, we have some exciting news, which is that Storytime Station is going to be holding open auditions for the Castaway Kids for next season! We'll be saying goodbye to our Cindy and Dave next year, and we're looking to cast their replacements before the season wraps up for summer hiatus! We'll also be recasting a couple of adult roles, including finding a Fat Farmer, as our old one is going off for stomach surg medical reasons!
So if you think you have what it takes to be a Fat Farmer or a Book Fairy or A Castaway Kid, come down to the NBC studios on Saturday April 24th!

The camera focuses on sunlight bouncing off of water then pans in to the shoreline with waves sliding up over wet sand and the feet of the person holding the I-holo being bathed in the lapping water. The camera turns and we see Lindsay, sitting on the edge of the ocean, her back to the beach, wearing a bright red bathing suit with a sarong bottom, hair pulled back in two pigtails, wearing sunglasses, with a fancy umbrella drink in her hand. In the background you can see the high rises of Miami Beach and sunbathers frolicking in the sand.
Hi all. Miss me already? The sun's fab, the water is perfect, and I have very good company, so I'd say I miss you too, but really... not quite so much. She takes a sip of a drink she is holding and laughs at something someone off screen has said before turning back to look at the camera.
So for those of you stuck up in New York City, don't worry, I'll be back on Monday, but till then I bring you this to keep you warm.
She turns the camera to focus on a well muscled lifeguard strolling down the beach. It follows him as he heads down to the water, while in the background you can hear the muffled sound of Lindsay greeting someone (Hey baby) before the I-Holo abruptly shuts off.

Tropicana Tasty you are my new best friend. Where have you been all my life? Now why can't they make something that tastes like a Pina Colada?
And just in time for a nice little trip to Florida. I'm headed out tomorrow on a jet-plane baby for a week of fun and sun, first on Sand Key and then in Miami.
I even have a brand new bathing suit in honour of this great weather I hear they're having. They must have heard I was coming.

By Jingo! I have had it up to here with the bunnies taking over the best parts of New York. All I was trying to do was pick up some loving Thai food when suddenly this insane proper lady of an old woman comes running after me asking for cheese. I swear I was totally having flashbacks to that old movie, Drag Me To Sam Hill? Anyway, Driver told her to kindly mow my lawn and we were driving off when suddenly there were like forty of them everywhere and I thought they were going to flip the loving car.
Can't the authorities do something about this? They're practically kittens. They make Richard Simmons look loving sane!
